WHY THE MOVEMENT
Founded in 1995 by Mecca a.k.a Grimo, Pascal Marcelin and Jean H. Marcelin,
Children Hope Chest of Dreams Foundation is dedicated to educating disadvantaged urban youth in Miami and Haiti with significant exposure and access to the arts.
FePouLi fulfills its mission through three core programs: Art and Media Education, exhibitions and mentoring. Specifically designed to meet the needs of Haitian school-age children living in Miami ages 13-18 years of age, our programs are designed to empower children to be proud of their heritage and teach children the importance of giving back to their homeland by way of foreign exchange workshops. Children Hope Chest of Dreams believes that if you give young people the opportunity to practice and appreciate art — whether poetry, music, dance, or the visual arts, then you will see lives transformed as young people learn to value their own unique voices and visions. It is this type of impact we aspire to see happen and that your support will make possible.
There is a great wealth within all of us that goes beyond momentary value. Our power to give no matter what it is can change a child’s life forever. Fepouli.org believes that through the movement of giving back, great things can happen and a change will begin.
Art saves lives! It’s that simple! FePouLi believes that if you give young people the opportunity to practice and appreciate art – whether poetry, film, music, or the visual arts, then you will see lives transformed as young people learn to value their own unique voices and visions. It is this type of impact we aspire to see happen which we believe will not only change the lives of our youth but positively reshape the image of South Florida.
